30 Favorite People on Twitter

I felt really honored when my name with my twitter handle ( humorcarbons ) landed up in the list of “30 Favorite People on Twitter”.

To see the list you have to visit a blog titled “Confessions Of A Graphic Designer” which is authored by a wonderful person none other than Terri Nakamura. The blog post was posted on May 20, 2012.

By profession, Terri is an award winning graphic designer. But, what I like about her, is her excellent sense of humor which is quite often reflected in her blogs and tweets. The title line on the top of her blog says, “I’ M A GRAPHIC DESIGNER WHO LOVES WORDS”.

Terri has a lively personality, despite being diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2005. I strongly believe, it is her sense of humor that has helped her cope with the disease. With a strong following of over 17,000 followers on twitter, Terri herself is one of the favorite person on twitter.

At the end of her recent blog post 30 Favorite People on Twitter, she says, “I’ve often heard it’s good to talk with people with large followings, as it benefits one’s Klout and Kred scores. But the friends listed, whether on- or off-line, are well worth getting to know for the enrichment you experience through your interactions with them.”

I strongly urge all of you to visit this list and make new connections not only with Terri but also with those who are listed there.

The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari will be visiting you :)

In his book, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari , Robin S. Sharma quoted an ancient principle, “the purpose of life is a life of  purpose”. WOW ! It is an amazing wisdom for our corporate gurus, executives and the great Sages of Sivana. Definitely the purpose of life is not to even think about Ferrari and if you still own it, better hurry and sell it, before the monk visits you.

There is really something mystic about this ancient principle, not because it is found in every inspirational book, but due to the reverse somersault of the first phrase in the second one.

In every office we keep hearing its echoes from the boardroom to the training hall. Our consultants are never tired of beaming these antiques words into the minds of our executives who wants to follow the path of greatness.

But hold on, the real enlightenment strikes when they put their foot at home. All of a sudden, they realize there are stuck in paradigm shift. The purpose of life is a life of purposeAnd if you are like me, a married person, this mystic principle becomes really mystic as now your mind will read this ancient principle as given under my wisdumb #6, “The purpose of life is to follow what is said by your wife”.
