Boss: a 24 x 7 phenomenon :)

At our workplace, a boss is such a person that we either love or hate. There is no third option in between.  He / She is such a person who often visits us even at our homes after work at night, either in our pleasant dreams or in the form of nightmares. That’s why I call my boss a 24 x 7 phenomenon.

There are bosses whom we adore. They are our mentors, our guiding light.

And of course there are bosses who are IMBOSSIBLE. They are the terror at our workplace, the brute force to get things done.

Boss is a strange individuality, in his presence, we love to laugh WITH him, but in his absence,  we love to laugh AT him.   M-I-N-D  B-O-G-G-L-I-N-G ?

I am sure, Guinness World Records would agree with me that Boss is the single most position in the world which can be classified as the winner under the category of “Boss Bashing -The most bashed about position in the world”.

It doesn’t matter whether you love or hate your boss. You won’t be at loss if you paste the sticker saying “BOSS, I L U” in your cubicle. It will make your boss happy as long as he / she do not inquire about what “L” stands for. For some, it will stand for “Love” and for the rest it may mean “Loathe”.

Who is your Motivational Guru :)

Have you ever thought:  who is your motivational guru?

Motivational Guru Boss Work Anthony Robbins

In simple words, who do you think is Anthony Robbins of your dreams?  Is he the tall and handsome colleague of yours who never works but keep impressing his boss by latest Armani suits?  May be he’s the tea boy who you think one day will become the Management celebrity just like the one about which you read in the Fortune Magazine.  Or, she might be your favorite trainer, who is always dishing out latest motivational philosophies and brand new management buzzwords.

For a moment, I am sure you might be thinking about the heavily guarded CEO who wants to see you as a daring and a bold individual and never misses an opportunity to lecture you on taking risks to become the top salesman of the year.  Or is she the charming lady in the customer service department who keeps you motivated to remain ever ready whenever the company needs you.

Well, I have no problems with your choice of motivational guru, but moral of the story is,  WHENEVER YOU SEE YOUR BOSS, simply get back to work. Oops here comes my boss……Check out my wisdumb #4 pasted above.

By the way don’t forget to write your choice of motivational guru in the comments section of this blog post. Thanks :)
