To succeed put fingers in your ears

Your chances of transforming your dreams into a reality depend on how many times you turn a deaf ear to all the negative phrases showered on you by your friends, relatives, family and colleagues (the naysayers).

Some of the frequent phrases you will be blessed with in due course are as follows:

“You cannot do it”

“It is too difficult for you”

“The idea is beyond your limits”

“You don’t have the resources”

It’s up to you who you believe, naysayers or yourself.

Believing naysayers means saying a big no to your dreams.

Believing yourself means saying a committed and a persistent yes to your dreams.

Here is a list of some of the phenomenal personalities who put fingers in their ears when they were haunted by the negative people around them:

Farhan Masood was declared a maniac and a fool. He was never taken seriously. Everyone laughed at his crazy self.

Elvis Presley was once told by the concert hall manager that he was better off driving trucks.

After his initial audition, Sidney Poitier was told by the casting director to go out and become a dishwasher?”

Thomas Edison was advised by his teachers he was “too stupid to learn anything.”

A movie firm executive told Harrison Ford that he’d never succeed in the movie business.

Jerry Seinfeld was booed off-stage at the beginning of his comedy career.

These persons believed themselves and after braving the tough waves of circumstances achieved their dreams. Had they believed the naysayers, no one would have remembered them just like no one remembered the naysayers.

So if you are pursuing your dreams and want to succeed, don’t listen to the naysayers around you.
